Transport billing and collections
Bill the movement. Follow the money.
A freight bill is only one step. WaybillBooks keeps transport invoices, receipts and customer outstanding together so your team can see what was billed, what came in and what still needs follow-up.

From freight to follow-up
A clear path from invoice to balance.
The billing route can differ from one transport job to another. The collection question stays the same: how much does this customer still owe?
Choose the bill
Invoice against eligible LRs, create a trip invoice or use direct brokerage billing.
Record receipts
Enter the customer payment against the billed amount.
Review outstanding
Use accounts receivable and the customer ledger to follow the balance.
For operations
The bill still has a trip behind it.
Keep the customer, route and transport documents close to the billed work. This helps when a customer asks which movement an invoice covers.
For accounts
Collections have a visible balance.
Record receipts and use receivables and party ledgers to see which invoices need attention. GST and other invoice details remain part of the billing record.
Practical answers
Before you choose a tool
How can I create a freight invoice?
The invoice workflow offers billing against eligible LRs, a trip invoice and a direct brokerage invoice. Your team chooses the path that matches the job.
Can I see unpaid customer invoices?
Yes. Accounts receivable shows open invoices and outstanding amounts. You can also open the customer party ledger for the fuller account history.
Does recording an invoice also mark it as paid?
No. Receipts are recorded separately, so the remaining balance reflects the payments entered against the invoice.
